2004 – One of the
largest commercial printers in the world, Quebecor
World Acme Printing, receives chain-of-custody certification. To
date, 5 U.S. printers have received certification
in 2004.
2004 – National Wildlife
Federation begins printing their children’s
magazine Wild Animal Baby on FSC-certified paperboard
stock.
2004 – The Coca-Cola
Company has 2003 Annual Report printed on FSC-certified
paper.
2004 –Disney’s
2003 Enviroport is printed on FSC-certified paper.
2004 – Tiffany Company
used FSC-certified paper for 2003 annual report.
2004 – Monadnock
Paper Mills Inc. receives chain-of-custody certification
for the manufacture of FSC-certified paper.
2004 – Potlatch becomes
first publicly traded company in U.S. to have lands
under FSC certification.
2004 – Domtar receives
chain-of-custody certification for their mill in
Maine.
2003 – Kinko’s
announces that it will stock FSC-certified papers
in each of its stores.
2003 – Quad Graphics,
the world’s largest magazine printer, receives
chain-of-custody certification.
2003 – Neenah Paper
receives chain-of-custody certification for the manufacture
of FSC-certified paper.
2003 – Finch, Pruyn
company received forest management certification
for their forestlands, and chain-of-custody certification
for their manufacturing facilities, becoming the
first company to wholly manufacture paper in the
U.S. from the forest to the final product.
2003 – Harris Lithographics
becomes first printer to receive chain-of-custody
certification in U.S. In all, 7 U.S. printers
received COC certification in 2003.
2002 – Mohawk Paper
receives chain-of-custody certification for the manufacture
of FSC-certified paper.
2002– Ris Paper Company
becomes first merchant with chain-of-custody certification.
To date, there are a total of 5 paper merchants in
the U.S., also including Central Lewmar South, Frank
Parsons Paper Company, Gould Paper Corporation and
New Leaf Paper.
2000 – Domtar receives
forest management certification for their lands in
upstate New York.
